How the dial system works
The dumbbell sits in a cradle holding all its plates. Turn the dial to the weight you want, and a mechanism inside locks exactly those plates onto the handle. The rest stay behind.
Because the change takes seconds, you can run drop sets and supersets at home without a rack. That is a genuine training benefit, not just a convenience.
2.5kg to 24kg in fine steps
The range runs from 2.5 kg to 24 kg, adjusted in small increments through the dial. Fine steps matter as much as the range: a big jump between settings stalls progress, while a small one lets you keep adding weight month after month.
At the light end it suits shoulder work, rehab and toning. At the top it covers presses, rows and lunges for most people.
Materials and safety

Can I drop them?

For curls, raises, presses and most rows, yes. If you are pressing heavier than that per hand, look at the 40 kg set instead.
Will the plates come loose?
