The 4.0HP AC motor
An AC motor rated at 4.0HP continuous and 8.0HP peak, controlled by a MagnaDrive motor controller. AC motors are what commercial treadmills use, because they hold pace under constant load in a way DC motors cannot.
Speed runs from 0.5 to 20 kmph, and incline elevates from 0 to 15 percent. The 0.5 kmph bottom end matters more than it sounds — it makes the machine usable for rehabilitation as well as running.
DX3 belt and deck with Flexdeck
The DX3 Belt and Deck System, combined with Flexdeck technology, is what makes the running surface feel different from a home machine. It absorbs impact through the deck rather than through your joints.
